As we had the "Shoot and Scoot" promotion this weekend, (50% extra credits earned and 50% off the purchase price of Tier 6 arty), I treated myself to the M12 and Lorraine 155 50, at 700,000 credits a piece I figured it would be a worthy investment towards the T92 and Batchat 155 grinds.
As is the norm (for me), I used Free XP (accrued from grinding the M103) to unlock the suspension, and figured that a x3 weekend would make it relatively easy to unlock the new Gun-Tubes.
Of course, I forgot how awful the team make-ups tend to be on x3 weekends!
However, I am pleased to report a mission successful for the Lorraine 155 50, and expect to unlock the M12's in the next day or so.
I have always compared other Tier 6 arty with the GW Panther (My favourite thus far, with the expanded traverse aided by it's "Turret").
So I was pleasantly surprised with the Lorraine's peformance in regards to aim time, accuracy and reload rates. It's speed is also definitely a unique feature; my fastest arty thus far has been the Object 261, but the French artillery is definitely a master of 'tactical re-positioning' from tier 6 on...
The M12 on the other hand has all the handling characteristics of the SU14, however I must reserve judgement until I have that new Gun-tube.
