I have seen us in many Clan War situations. One of the biggest problems I see is that we call our Clan War as we would play an organized pub match. In doing this we always fall to the talented teams. I have a few points that are simple and basic battle tachs that are NOT being followed.
1 - We need to have a long range defensive area. If our TD's can only get off 1 shot before they are in close combat they can not be effective. So DO NOT set the TD's up in a "surprise" area. Do not have them hide and wait for an attack. What needs to happen is we look at the map and decide on a "kill zone" that is 300-500 yards away. This will give the TD's at least 2 shots and more than likely 3. They also need to have a "retreat" point. Playing a TD can be rewarding. Finding yourself dead in a TD because you had no place to go when spotted sucks.
2 - Winning is not always a matter of 'Who caps first". It's ok to plan an attack that is a distraction. A battle that starts out pushing hard in one direction and then turning around and attacking the enemy that is attacking our base can work out better than sprinting to the cap and hoping to outlast the other team.
There are other things that we NEED to do but I will post them as separate entries so as not to confuse each topic with too much information.
