Scouts give the commander and team an understanding of where the enemy is. It is N O T a good idea to sprint tanks down the middle of the field without any knowledge of where the enemy is. Current military minds have paired the Bradly with the abrams ( I am sorry if I misspelled those ) where the Bradly is the advance scout and can pin point for the abrams. So... how does this work for WoT? Simple we need at least one scout in each battle. To be an effective scout you need to have camo net, paint, a crew that is 100% camo trained and a fast, low profile, tank. Then you as a tanker must have patience. Go where you are told to go and have nerves of steel as the enemy drives past you. Commanders should utilize scouts so that arty and heavies can focus on the battle in a proper and organized manner. It would be up to the commander to use this info to best deploy our forces.
Food for thought. A blind man will never do well in the boxing ring. A man with good vision, good coaching and good training will always have a fighting chance.

I feel I am a very good scout and I wish to share some of my knowledge on how to build a scout. Here is my T71 with equipment, consumables and crew skills. T71 The T71 has 3 crew members so all the scouting crew skills needed will take a while. Consumables Octane This is for getting to your bush aka designated area quickly. Repair Have this pushed in while moving and be ready to hit it again to repair cause you do not want to be stuck tracked. Med Kit If your commander gets hit he is also your radio operator not only will vision be disrupted but your signal to your team will also be interrupted. Equipment Coated Optics Use these so you see the enemy before they see you while on the move. Binocular Telescope Once you find your bush and you are sitting still these will increase your view range 20% more which is 10% more then the Coated Optics Camouflage Net This will add 25% more camo to your tank to help him not be seen by the enemy. Must remain still to be effective. Crew Skills Commander Camouflage, Recon, Situational Awareness The Camo is for not being seen by the enemy which is obvious but the other two are very important skills. Recon will allow you to see camouflaged targets at greater distances as well as situational awareness. Situational awareness is a Radio Operator skill but your Commander triples as a Loader Radio Operator and Commander. Gunner Camouflage, Designated Target, Snap Shot I choose Designated Target so when a tank back into cover and out of my site he is still visible for 2 more seconds after he is out of view. Snap shot is pretty much for when you have to fight. You do not want to fire in a scout if at all costs because it gives away your location and there for with low HP/Armor you can die very quickly. Driver Camouflage, Off-Road Driving, Clutch Braking Off-Driving is so you do not go air born off the slightest bumps in the terrain which can cause your track to break. Clutch Braking is for better turning when trying to dodge enemy shells coming at you.
This concludes my write up on the T71... I am working on a Chaffee also which will have a lot of similar abilities but it gets more crew skills since it has a crew of 5.... and it's what I consider an elite scout which in my opinion is better then the T71.

Great info Instagator. This will give some "exact" specs for someone to work on. Can you get with someone that has a T62 and/or Bat Chat and see what they have? Then you might be able to give us some extra info like this for those. Thanx again.

Sheen... Thundercat has been Gatorized and is now a scout.(Batchat) Mugly... Sixth Sense is useful but by going in a training room and finding out how many meters it takes to see me by going into reticle mode, Recon is more important as well as situational awareness... The chaffee is a much better scout cause I can get sixth sense with 3 skills...
